Registered Dental Hygienist

I am a registered dental hygienist who joined East Madison Dental in 2000. I love building relationships and knowing that each patient is being treated as if they were my own family. The most fulfilling part of my job is seeing an extremely anxious patient transform into a model patient that eventually looks forward to their next visit and to see me! I also really appreciate my team—we are always there for each other and respect one another. They are like family!

I have been married to my husband Martin for 32 years. We each have one sister and many nieces and nephews who keep us busy! We love to travel, take long walks, watch different sporting events, and love music.

I joined the dental field in 2000 as a dental assistant while obtaining her dental hygiene license. My primary goal as a dental hygienist is to cultivate good oral habits and provide high-quality dental preventive care specific to each person (together with the EMDental team!). I love to offer as much knowledge as possible because sharing "knowledge is empowering" for excellent oral health and total health. I enjoy being involved in community outreach services and eventually would like to be involved in dental volunteer abroad programs.

In my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my family and cat, traveling, eating, and exercising (everything!). I also like outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, camping, and snowboarding.

I’ve always had a strong desire to work in Healthcare. I graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Mount Ida College in 2012. I found my niche in providing quality care and educating patients on the best techniques to achieve improved health while working in the Boston area for over eight years as a Dental Hygienist. In June 2020, my husband and I relocated to New Jersey, and since July 2021, I’ve continued my Hygiene career as a part of the team at East Madison Dental. I’m truly blessed to work alongside an amazing group of people.

Outside of work, my husband and I enjoy spending time with family and kids when they visit (we’re empty nesters). We have a dog, Hazel, who's 12 years old. We love traveling and great food (we’re big foodies).

There is one thing that I value, and it is education. I have degrees in Psychology from Queens College and Hygiene from City College of Technology and am also certified in Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Sedation. I am most excited to share my love of education with my patients. Not just treating their concerns but also helping them understand the problems to be an active participant in their oral health progress. I love every aspect of my job, seeing the positive impact on patients!
