The scan is comfortable and takes just a few minutes to check your entire mouth. 3d printing In-house 3D printing allows us to design and produce custom dental appliances, from surgical guides to models and even same-day restorations, with remarkable precision. This technology speeds up treatment timelines while ensuring every piece is tailored exactly to your mouth. digital xrays Our digital X-rays use up to 80% less radiation than traditional film, with images appearing instantly on screen so your dentist can review them with you in real time. The result is a faster, safer, and more precise way to catch issues early and plan your treatment. DIGITAL DESIGN Using exocad software, our dentists and lab partners design crowns, veneers, and other restorations digitally, with exceptional accuracy and a natural-looking fit. This technology streamlines the process from scan to final restoration, so you spend less time in the chair and more time enjoying your smile. cbct CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) captures detailed 3D images of your teeth, jaw, and facial structures in a single scan. This gives your dentist a complete picture for planning implants, extractions, and other procedures with greater precision and confidence. My adult son has special needs and has to go under sedation for routine cleaning and fillings. EMD offers sedation and their lab can make a crown on the spot so he does not have to keep coming back-and-forth. Dr. Jain is one of the few dentists who can perform work for my disabled son and he does an exceptional job given the challenges. My elderly father also has many dental issues in which Dr. Jain was able to resolve. Staff is always friendly and professional and equipment is state of the art. Highly recommend, especially for people with disabilities or for those who require extra care. Mary B. - Google Review

- Crown Lengthening | East Madison Dental
Is crown lengthening only cosmetic? Not always. It's often used cosmetically to reduce a gummy smile, but it's also frequently necessary to expose enough healthy tooth structure before placing a crown or filling. Is the procedure painful? The area is numbed beforehand, so the procedure is comfortable. Some soreness during recovery is normal and manageable with over-the-counter pain relief. How long is recovery? Most patients heal within one to two weeks, though the gums may continue to settle into their final shape over the following weeks. Can crown lengthening be done on just one tooth? Yes, it can be performed on a single tooth or across several, depending on whether your goals are cosmetic, restorative, or both. Book Now What is aesthetic crown lengthening? Aesthetic crown lengthening reshapes gum and, when needed, bone tissue to expose more of the natural tooth, correcting a gummy smile or preparing a tooth for a restoration. How does it work? Your dentist carefully removes excess gum tissue, and occasionally a small amount of bone, to reveal more of the tooth's crown, improving both the smile's proportion and, when needed, giving a restoration more surface to bond to. What are the benefits ? Corrects a gummy smile for better proportion Prepares teeth for crowns or veneers when needed Improves the long-term success of restorative work Creates a more balanced, confident smile FAQS Recent POSTS Nie ma jeszcze żadnych opublikowanych postów w tym języku Po opublikowaniu postów zobaczysz je tutaj. What are the benefits ? Relieves jaw pain and reduces headaches Improves jaw movement and function Addresses underlying causes like grinding or misalignment Non-invasive options available for most patients FAQS What are common symptoms of TMJ disorder? Symptoms often include jaw pain or tenderness, clicking or popping sounds, headaches, and difficulty fully opening or closing your mouth. If these sound familiar, we can help evaluate your jaw. Is TMJ treatment always necessary? Not always. Mild cases may simply be monitored, but persistent pain, dysfunction, or worsening symptoms are good reasons to pursue treatment before the condition progresses. Does TMJ treatment involve surgery? Rarely. Most cases are managed successfully with conservative options like a custom nightguard, lifestyle changes, or Botox, with surgery reserved for the most severe, unresponsive cases. Can stress make TMJ symptoms worse? Yes, stress often leads to increased clenching and grinding, which can worsen TMJ symptoms. - Cavity Reversal with Curodont | East Madison Dental
What are the benefits ? Can reverse early cavities without drilling Preserves more of your natural tooth structure Comfortable, needle-free treatment Helps avoid more invasive procedures later FAQS Can Curodont fix any cavity? Curodont works best on very early-stage decay that hasn't yet broken through the enamel surface. Once a cavity has progressed further, a traditional filling is usually needed instead. Is Curodont painful? No. It's a completely painless, needle-free treatment that doesn't require numbing or drilling. How do I know if I'm a candidate? During your exam, your dentist will use imaging and visual inspection to catch decay in its earliest stages, when Curodont is most effective. Not every cavity qualifies, but catching it early gives you more options. How long does treatment take? Curodont treatment is typically completed in a single, short visit with no downtime or recovery needed afterward. - Sinus Lift | East Madison Dental
FAQS Why would I need a sinus lift? The upper back jaw often has naturally thinner bone and is close to the sinus cavity. If you're missing bone height needed for an implant in this area, a sinus lift creates the space required. Is a sinus lift painful? The procedure is performed under anesthesia, so you won't feel pain during it. Some swelling, mild discomfort, or sinus pressure afterward is normal and manageable. How long until I can get an implant after a sinus lift? Healing typically takes several months before the new bone is strong enough to support an implant, though timing varies by patient and the extent of the graft. Are there risks involved with a sinus lift? As with any surgical procedure, there are some risks, which your surgeon will review with you. Using advanced imaging to plan the procedure helps minimize complications and improve outcomes. - Corrective Jaw Surgery | East Madison Dental
Corrective JAW Ready to Experience the EMD Difference? Book Now What is corrective jaw surgery? Corrective jaw surgery, also called orthognathic surgery, repositions the jaw to correct bite misalignment, improve facial balance, and resolve issues that braces alone can't fix. How does it work? Working closely with your orthodontist, an oral surgeon repositions the upper and/or lower jaw to correct alignment, often as part of a broader treatment plan that includes orthodontics before and after surgery. What are the benefits ? Corrects significant bite misalignment Improves chewing, speech, and breathing function Can enhance facial balance and profile Resolves issues that can't be fixed with orthodontics alone FAQS How do I know if I need corrective jaw surgery? Signs include difficulty chewing or biting, chronic jaw pain, breathing issues, or a significant bite misalignment that your orthodontist identifies as beyond what braces can correct alone. Is corrective jaw surgery painful? The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, so you won't feel it during surgery. Recovery involves some swelling and discomfort, which we'll help you manage with a clear aftercare plan. How long is recovery? Initial recovery typically takes a few weeks, though full healing and settling of the jaw can take several months, often alongside continued orthodontic treatment. Will I need braces before or after surgery? Often both. Many patients wear braces before surgery to align the teeth, then continue afterward to fine-tune the bite once the jaw has healed. - Composite Veneers | East Madison Dental
FAQS How long do composite veneers last? Composite veneers generally last 5 to 7 years with good care, though they may need touch-ups sooner than porcelain due to their softer material. Are composite veneers as strong as porcelain? Composite is durable but more prone to staining and chipping over time compared to porcelain. Many patients choose composite for a faster, more budget-friendly option, then consider porcelain later if desired. Can composite veneers stain? Yes, composite is more porous than porcelain, so it can pick up stains from coffee, tea, or wine over time. We'll advise you on care to help maintain their appearance. Is the process painful? Not typically. Composite veneers usually require little to no removal of tooth structure, and most patients need no numbing at all.
