SAME DAY CROWNS CEREC® lets us craft and place a same-day, metal-free ceramic restoration in a single visit, no temporary crown needed. Your doctor uses a 3D imaging camera to capture your tooth, then CEREC®'s software designs a restoration matched to its exact form and function, which is milled and bonded in place before you leave. DIGITAL IMPRESSIONS With our iTero digital scanner, your dentist takes a highly accurate digital impression of your teeth in minutes. This new technology completely eliminates the trays and putty of traditional impressions, so you never have to deal with the goop, gagging, or discomfort many patients dread. Where patients receive luxury state-of-the art care. Excellence & Beyond. The EMD tech Experience DIAGNOdent™ DIAGNOdent™ is a laser technology that helps our dentists find even the smallest areas of decay, often before they're visible to the naked eye, so they can be treated before becoming bigger concerns. The scan is comfortable and takes just a few minutes to check your entire mouth. 3d printing In-house 3D printing allows us to design and produce custom dental appliances, from surgical guides to models and even same-day restorations, with remarkable precision. This technology speeds up treatment timelines while ensuring every piece is tailored exactly to your mouth. digital xrays Our digital X-rays use up to 80% less radiation than traditional film, with images appearing instantly on screen so your dentist can review them with you in real time. The result is a faster, safer, and more precise way to catch issues early and plan your treatment. DIGITAL DESIGN Using exocad software, our dentists and lab partners design crowns, veneers, and other restorations digitally, with exceptional accuracy and a natural-looking fit. This technology streamlines the process from scan to final restoration, so you spend less time in the chair and more time enjoying your smile. cbct CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) captures detailed 3D images of your teeth, jaw, and facial structures in a single scan. This gives your dentist a complete picture for planning implants, extractions, and other procedures with greater precision and confidence. My adult son has special needs and has to go under sedation for routine cleaning and fillings. EMD offers sedation and their lab can make a crown on the spot so he does not have to keep coming back-and-forth. Dr. Jain is one of the few dentists who can perform work for my disabled son and he does an exceptional job given the challenges. My elderly father also has many dental issues in which Dr. Jain was able to resolve. Staff is always friendly and professional and equipment is state of the art. Highly recommend, especially for people with disabilities or for those who require extra care. Mary B. - Google Review

  • Nightguards and Mouthguards | East Madison Dental

How do I know if I need a nightguard? Signs like worn-down teeth, jaw soreness, headaches upon waking, or a partner noticing you grind your teeth at night are all good reasons to ask your dentist about a nightguard. Are custom nightguards better than store-bought ones? Yes. Custom nightguards are molded to your exact bite, making them far more comfortable and effective at protecting your teeth than generic, one-size-fits-all versions from the drugstore. How long does a nightguard last? With proper care, a custom nightguard typically lasts several years. We'll check its fit and condition at your regular visits. Do kids need mouthguards for sports? Yes, especially for contact sports. A custom-fitted mouthguard offers far better protection than boil-and-bite versions and is comfortable enough that kids are more likely to actually wear it. • All on X | East Madison Dental

All on X Ready to Experience the EMD Difference? Book Now What is All on X? All on X (also known as All-on-4®) is a full-arch tooth replacement solution that uses a small number of strategically placed implants, often four, to support an entire arch of fixed, natural-looking replacement teeth. How does it work? Your dentist places implants into the jawbone at precise angles to maximize stability, often using existing bone without the need for grafting. A full arch of custom teeth is then attached, sometimes on the very same day. What are the benefits ? Replaces a full arch of missing or failing teeth Fixed in place, unlike removable dentures Preserves jawbone health and facial structure Many patients leave with a functional smile the same day FAQS How is All on X different from traditional dentures? Unlike removable dentures that rest on the gums, All on X is permanently anchored to implants, so it doesn't slip, requires no adhesives, and feels and functions much more like natural teeth. Am I a candidate for All on X? Many patients qualify even with significant bone loss, since the implants are placed at angles that work with your existing bone. A consultation and 3D imaging will confirm if it's right for you. How long does the process take? In many cases, patients leave with a functional temporary set of teeth the same day as surgery, with a final, refined restoration placed a few months later once healing is complete. Is the procedure painful? The surgery is performed under anesthesia, so you won't feel pain during the procedure. Some swelling and discomfort afterward is normal and managed with medication and aftercare guidance. • Implant Dentistry | East Madison Dental

Implant DENTISTRY Ready to Experience the EMD Difference? Book Now What are dental implants? Dental implants are titanium posts surgically placed into the jawbone to replace missing tooth roots, providing a strong, permanent foundation for a replacement tooth, crown, bridge, or denture. How does it work? Your dentist places the implant into the jawbone, where it fuses with the bone over a few months through a process called osseointegration. Once healed, a custom crown, bridge, or denture is attached on top for a natural, functional result. What are the benefits ? Look, feel, and function like natural teeth Prevent bone loss that occurs after tooth loss Don't rely on neighboring teeth for support, unlike a bridge Built to last for decades with proper care FAQS Our EXCELLENCE Smile Gallery Am I a candidate for dental implants? Most healthy adults with adequate jawbone are good candidates. If bone density is a concern, procedures like bone grafting or a sinus lift can often help you qualify. How long does the implant process take? The full process, from placement to final restoration, typically takes a few months to allow for proper healing, though some patients qualify for same-day options. Is getting an implant painful? The procedure is performed under anesthesia, so you won't feel pain during it. Most patients report the recovery is more comfortable than they expected, managed with medication as needed. How long do dental implants last? With proper care, dental implants can last decades, and many patients enjoy them for the rest of their life. • Fluoride Treatment | East Madison Dental

What is Fluoride Treatment? Fluoride treatment is a fast, painless application of concentrated fluoride to your teeth that strengthens enamel and helps prevent cavities. How does it work? After your cleaning, your hygienist applies a fluoride gel, foam, or varnish directly to your teeth, which absorbs into the enamel over the next several minutes to strengthen it against acid and decay. What are the benefits ? Strengthens enamel and helps prevent cavities Can reverse very early stages of tooth decay Reduces tooth sensitivity Quick, painless, and suitable for kids and adults alike FAQS Is fluoride treatment only for kids? No. While it's especially important for children's developing teeth, adults benefit too, particularly those prone to cavities, dry mouth, or gum recession that exposes tooth roots. How often should I get a fluoride treatment? Most patients receive fluoride treatment at their regular six-month cleanings, though your dentist may recommend more frequent applications if you're at higher risk for decay. Is fluoride safe? Yes, professional fluoride treatments are safe and closely monitored for the correct dosage. We'll advise you not to eat or drink for about 30 minutes afterward to let it fully absorb. Can fluoride treatment fix a cavity that's already formed? Fluoride can strengthen weakened enamel and reverse decay in its very earliest stages, but it can't repair a cavity that has already broken through the tooth. Those need a filling or restoration. • Gum Grafting | East Madison Dental

How does it work? What are the benefits ? Protects exposed tooth roots from sensitivity and decay Helps prevent further gum recession Improves the appearance of your gumline Strengthens and thickens thin gum tissue FAQS How do I know if I need a gum graft? Signs like tooth sensitivity, a tooth appearing longer than others, or visible root exposure are all reasons to have your gums evaluated for possible grafting. Is gum grafting painful? The area is numbed for the procedure, so it's comfortable throughout. Some soreness during recovery is normal and typically improves within a week or two. How long is recovery from a gum graft? Most patients see significant healing within one to two weeks, though complete integration of the graft tissue can take a bit longer. Will gum recession come back after grafting?
