How does it work?
When you call us after hours and indicate you have an emergency, a doctor is available to get you the care you need. If your emergency happens during our office hours we will do whatever we can to get you on our schedule, and out of pain. We don’t want you to suffer!
What to expect
01 Assess Level of Pain
We will get you scheduled for an appointment and assess what we can do to control your discomfort prior to your visit with our specialized dentists. If you need a filling, crown, or bridge we can typically start treatment the same day!
02 Pain Management
If your pain is due to infection or other unforeseen circumstances for which we cannot complete it on the same day, we will appoint you for another day that fits your busy schedule. At this time your expert dentist will assess what is necessary to curb your discomfort until we are able to complete treatment.
03 Fix the Problem
We will get you scheduled for an appointment and assess what we can do to control your discomfort prior to your visit with our specialized dentists. If you need a filling, crown, or bridge we can typically start treatment the same day!

Emergencies vs Tooth Pain
Emergencies tend to happen at the most inconvenient times. Especially tooth pain, which seems to happen when we least expect it, such as when you’re heading out of town for vacation, on your way to a special event, or trying to get through your work day. Don’t worry! The experts at East Madison Dental are here to provide you with quality emergency dental care
-
We will assess your level of pain, and how long you’ve been in pain.
-
Then we’ll get you scheduled for an appointment with our highly qualified team.
-
We will take an x-ray of the area in pain and one of our gentle dentists will perform an exam to diagnose the source of the problem.
FAQS
Do you accept Medicaid?
No, East Madison Dental does not accept any state or federal insurance plans.
How quickly can I be seen in an emergency?
We do our best to get emergency patients seen on the same day they notify us that they are in pain.
Should I go to the ER?
Depending on the nature of your emergency, our staff will let you know how quickly we can see you. ERs typically aren't equipped to handle dental issues, so we're almost always your best option, call us and we'll get you taken care of.
Can a new patient book an emergency appointment?
Yes, we welcome new patients for emergency visits.
Recently, I visited the office to address concerns regarding an impacted tooth, as it was very painful. An emergency tooth extraction was conducted by Dr. Jain, the process of which was very quick and painless. I would like to thank you again for taking the time and effort in seeing me on such short notice, along with addressing concerns regarding my tooth pain. You are a truly remarkable person and a great dentist! I would also like to thank Maria for being there on such incredibly short notice as well! She is a very compassionate person and a great dental assistant!
I highly recommend East Madison Dental!
